An evening psalm. David calls on the God of his righteousness, who enlarged him in distress. To the sons of men who love vanity: know that Jehovah hath set apart the godly man for himself. Stand in awe and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed and be still. Gladness greater than harvest joy is put in his heart, and he both lays down and sleeps in peace, 'for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.'
