The Davidic Covenant

2 Sam 7:8–17: an everlasting house, throne, kingdom.

Ps 89:30–37 explicitly notes that David's sons' disobedience brings discipline but does not break the covenant, the unconditional character grounded textually. Typological connection

The Davidic covenant is unconditional (unlike the Mosaic). The throne forever is fulfilled in part at the resurrection (Acts 2:30) and awaits final consummation at the Second Coming.
