About this voice

Charles Capps (April 5, 1934 – May 23, 2014) was an American Pentecostal-Charismatic Bible teacher, ordained minister, and one of the principal articulators (with Kenneth Hagin) of the Word-of-Faith confession-theology stream. A former Arkansas farmer and land developer, he transitioned to itinerant Bible teaching after a personal-revelation experience he attributed to confession-of-God's-word principle. His ministry produced 30+ books and substantial audio teaching distributed primarily through Capps Publishing, Harrison House, Impact Christian Books, and his ministry website. His best-known works include God's Creative Power (multiple titles in this branded series; the original mini-book reportedly sold 3 million+ copies), The Tongue: A Creative Force (1976), Faith and Confession, and Angels (1984). His daughter Annette Capps co-authored several titles and continues the ministry. Capps is downstream of Kenneth Hagin doctrinally and is one of the most-direct articulators of the Word-of-Faith confession-and-creative-power-of-words framework.
