'The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof.' Who shall ascend the hill of Jehovah? He that hath clean hands and a pure heart. Then the gates are commanded: 'Lift up your heads, O ye gates… and the King of glory will come in.' Twice the question ('Who is the King of glory?') and twice the answer: Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah of hosts. Traditionally tied to the ark's ascent to Zion; read by the church of the ascending Christ.
