1 Kings 22:19–23 in full context: four hundred court prophets against one, and Micaiah's answer is not an argument but a throne-room report, "I saw Jehovah sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left" (22:19). Jehovah asks "Who shall entice Ahab?" (22:20); the council answers "on this manner" and "on that manner"; a spirit comes forth, stands before Jehovah, and offers himself: "I will entice him" (22:21).
Jehovah commissions him, "Thou shalt entice him, and shalt prevail also: go forth, and do so" (22:22). The scene shows deliberation, commissioning, and the sovereignty of the enthroned King over every voice in the room, the same architecture as Job 1–2, where the adversary must likewise present himself and receive terms.
