And that second ram arose and led the [little] sheep. And that ram begat many sheep and fell asleep; and a little sheep became ram in its stead, and became prince and leader of those sheep. The Vessel, the Sea, and the Shepherds
A white bull is secretly instructed and becomes a man who builds a great vessel; he and three bulls ride out a flood that drowns every other creature in a great water-covered enclosure, until the waters recede and he comes out onto dry land. His descendants multiply into many kinds of animals, narrowing at last to a flock of sheep whom the Lord of the sheep leads out from wolves, through a divided sea that closes over their pursuers, to a mountain and a house: after which the sheep repeatedly stray, and the Lord hands them over in stages to seventy shepherds who are told exactly how much destruction they may do and are watched by a recording angel the whole time.
- Genesis 7:23 : "Every living substance was destroyed… and Noah only remained alive" is the flood this chapter tells through the vessel-bull and the drowned enclosure.
- Exodus 14:28 : "The waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen" is the Exodus deliverance this chapter retells as the sea closing over the pursuing wolves.
