And these—they have no place of repentance for ever, because they have shown them what was hidden, and they are the damned: but as for thee, my son, the Lord of Spirits knows that thou art pure, and guiltless of this reproach concerning the secrets.

Noah's Cry: Why Is the Earth Shaking?
Noah sees the earth sinking toward ruin and cries out three times to his grandfather Enoch. Enoch explains that judgment has been decreed because humanity has learned "all the secrets of the angels", sorcery, witchcraft, idol-making, and metalworking, and assures Noah that he himself is "pure, and guiltless of this reproach," destined for a righteous, numberless line.
