The Second Parable: A New Heaven and a New Earth
The Second Parable concerns those who deny "the name of the dwelling of the holy ones and the Lord of Spirits" and are shut out of both heaven and earth. On the day of judgment, "Mine Elect One shall sit on the throne of glory" to try their works, while God promises to "transform the heaven and make it an eternal blessing and light" and "transform the earth and make it a blessing" for the elect to dwell on.
- Isaiah 65:17 : God transforming heaven and earth into "an eternal blessing" stands beside Isaiah's promise of new heavens and a new earth.
- Matthew 25:31 : "Sit on the throne of glory" closely echoes Jesus' own words that the Son of man "shall sit upon the throne of his glory" at the judgment.
