Enoch's First Journey to the Ends of the Earth
Enoch is taken by beings who appear as flaming fire, then as men, on a journey to the far places of creation: the treasuries of the stars and thunder, the waters of life, a river of fire flowing into the great sea, the mountains of winter darkness, and the sources of the earth's rivers and the deep.
- Job 38:22 : "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?" — God's own questions to Job about hidden cosmic storehouses stand directly beside Enoch's tour of the treasuries of stars, thunder, and wind.
- Job 38:16 : "Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea?" parallels Enoch being shown the sources of the earth's rivers and "the mouth of the deep."
