The full variant study: MT "children of Israel" against the Qumran fragment 4QDeutj and the LXX "sons of God / angels of God," with Deuteronomy 4:19–20 as the allotment counterpart inside the book itself and Psalm 82:1 as the scene the scroll reading pairs with. The claim, the scroll reading is original and reveals a divine-council cosmology, is most fully argued by Michael Heiser, The Unseen Realm (2015).
The critique, the MT read as a deliberate, meaningful text; caution against building systems on one variant, is displayed beside it, per the manuscripts ledger's contested-point discipline. A sibling variant, the longer Deut 32:43 attested in 4QDeutq/LXX and quoted at Hebrews 1:6 ("let all the angels of God worship him"), shows the same chapter carrying the same heavenly-host texture.
