Joel Richardson is an American evangelical author, speaker, filmmaker, and the founder of Joel's Trumpet ministry. He is principally known for articulating the "Islamic Antichrist" eschatological view — that the biblical Antichrist will arise from a Muslim cultural-political-religious framework rather than from a European Roman-Empire-revival framework as classical dispensationalism (Lindsey, Hagee) has typically held. The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth about the Real Nature of the Beast (2006) and Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist (2012, NYT bestseller) are the foundational articulations. He has also produced documentary films and continues active ministry on Mid-East-focused eschatological teaching. He is married and has substantial cross-cultural-mission orientation toward Muslim contexts.
