Short bio

Rabbi Jason Sobel is an American Messianic Jewish rabbi, author, and the founder of Fusion Global — a Messianic ministry "reconnecting people with the Jewish roots of Christianity." Raised in a Jewish home in New Jersey, he became a follower of Yeshua (Jesus) after years of seeking and studying. He received Rabbinic ordination from the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) in 2005. He holds a B.A. in Jewish Studies and an M.A. in intercultural studies. His book catalog includes *Mysteries of the Messiah*, *Aligning with God's Appointed Times*, *Transformed by the Messiah: How Old and New Testament Jesus Connections Reveal God's Intentional Story for Your Life*, *Breakthrough: Living a Life of Impact and Influence*, and others. He is a featured teacher on TBN's *The Chosen Unveiled* series — providing Hebrew-roots interpretive context for *The Chosen* TV series scenes. Sobel is one of the most-publicly-prominent contemporary Messianic Jewish voices alongside Cahn (Tier 2) and Sid Roth (Tier 2).

What they believed

  • Cessation — Continuationist-leaning Messianic-Jewish charismatic mainstream.
  • Christocentric Reading — All Scripture (Tanakh + B'rit Hadashah) points to Yeshua as Messiah. Christ-pointing typology operates throughout the Hebrew Bible — *Mysteries of the Messiah* documents systematically.
  • Typology Method — Substantive typology — Old Testament types pointing to Yeshua. Sobel's framework draws on Jewish-context typological reading combined with Christian fulfillment hermeneutic.
  • Modern State Prophetic Significance — Pro-Israel; Romans 11 framework on Israel and the church operationally foundational. Substantial Messianic Jewish ecclesiological framework.
  • Feasts as Prophetic Calendar — Hebrew calendar and Levitical feasts carry ongoing prophetic significance. *Aligning with God's Appointed Times* articulates the framework.
  • Midrash and Rabbinic — Rabbinic interpretive tradition is substantive context for biblical interpretation; Hebrew-language sensitivities, rabbinic patterns, and Second Temple Jewish reading practices illuminate New Testament texts.
