David Hennessey ("Praying Medic")

David Hennessey — known publicly as "Praying Medic" — is an American paramedic (35-year career as EMT and paramedic) and prolific Christian author based in Phoenix, Arizona. His ministry origin: in 2008 he reported God appearing to him in a dream and saying He would heal his patients if he prayed for them. He had not previously believed in divine healing but began praying reluctantly; documented healings followed and his blog (begun 2009) chronicled the experiences. His book catalog is substantial, focused on the practical-application "Made Simple" series: Divine Healing Made Simple, Hearing God's Voice Made Simple, Seeing in the Spirit Made Simple, Traveling in the Spirit Made Simple, and others. He is one of the principal contemporary popular voices on hearing-God methodology alongside Mark Virkler and Jamie Winship. He is also known publicly for his contemporary online commentary on cultural-political topics, which has generated controversy distinct from his ministry-teaching.
