Discovered 1947 by Bedouin shepherds in Qumran Cave 1; paleographically and radiocarbon-dated c. 125 BC. The Suffering Servant passage (52:13–53:12) is in column XLIV, continuous prose — no chapter break (that was added c. 1227 AD). A Jewish copy preserved by Jewish scribes with no knowledge of Jesus. The scroll is publicly accessible via the Israel Museum's Digital Dead Sea Scrolls archive (dss.collections.imj.org.il/isaiah).
